Going to the gym with social anxiety?

This is probably going to sound stupid to most of you, but I'm having a really hard time with this.

I really want to be a better version of myself. I want to eat healtheir, drink healther, be healther. I want to work out and tone and feel good about myself. I want to go to the gym.

But every single time I try, my social anxiety comes over me, and I can't bring myseld to to walk through the door. I'm socially awkward. I'm really shy. And I feel really really uncomfortable in an environment where there are many people, or even just a few, where I feel like I'm being watched or judged.. Idk how to get over this. It's becoming such a problem, I feel embarrassed talking about how I feel, especially over something so silly like this. No body seems to understand.
