I was diagnosed with mild depression and also displayed some anxious behaviour about 4 months ago and I was prescribed citalopram in 20mg doses. My sex drive was lacking around that time already because of my depression so I didn't really notice that the citalopram had much of an effect on that. I delayed for about two weeks in getting my prescription refills (I moved away from home for school and I am always busy!) and I noticed that whereas sex was always an afterthought I am suddenly getting an increased sex drive like a HUGE jump in sex drive. I feel 15 again! 😂 I talked to my doctor and she said that whereas I am nowhere near severe that I could take the pills as needed from here on out if I wanted to instead of daily. Just wondering if anyone else had similar side effects of citalopram?
