Need advice about my grade😡
Could someone please please help me figure this out?
So my class consisted of two tests each 50% of my grade. I'm assuming the second one was curved because students didn't do as well but not sure about the first one. All they tell us is our two scores and our final grade in the class. I got a 181/200 and a 156/200. My friend got a 186.5/200 and a 153/200. I got a B+ and he got an A!!!! Doesn't anything look wrong with that? Could someone tell me how this is mathematically possible that being 2.5/400 points away could result in my grade being 2 full grades lower?
I got a true A- on the first test (no curve) and he got an A on the first test. If his second test score was high enough to to get him an A in the class, mine must have been high too (I got 156 he got 153) since I got a better score. So how the hell did I get a B+??
