When should i register baby?

My baby is 6 days old and was wondering how soon i should register him at the doctors?😊

I have to provide the peds information to the hospital before I am released. If i remember correctly I even called and made an appointment before we left.

Call ASAP. They will need to do weight checks and check for jaundice.

We had to either provide the name of the pediatrician or the hospital would have one check out our son there. Our pediatrician also sees babies at 2 weeks, then at 2 month intervals. Some see them every month, so I'd say sooner than later.

Other than checking weight, our pediatrician also ordered the second part of the newborn screening.

Even though you have your midwife checking in, I'd still set up an appointment with a pediatrician. I'd want to get to know the doctor and usually doctors have an oncall doctor their patients can call outside of normal hours if something comes up.
