Who do you invite to the baby shower ??

I don't know who to invite is it like a wedding more like a birthday party how large should the invite list be ?

EVERYONE!  I invited my ex bosses, as many friends as I could, family members, forgotten uncles and aunts.. it doesn't matter.  The SOLE PURPOSE of a baby shower(regardless of opinionated peeps on here), is to -shower - the new parents with gifts that will help with the new addition along the way.  People like to say that showers are for "celebrating the new addition to the family" but reality is that ur not gonna trow a shower unless u get those presents... if u want a life celebrition, then u can do a " babyQ" -like a barbecue but more for the baby... have ur friends and family to just eat and celebrate life..
But when u throw a shower, u ate investing money, time and effort in it. .it BETTER be worth it.. if u end up spending MORE money on the shower event than the whole total if ur registry, to me personally  is a waste of time. 
Invite as many as u can. . Expect to have MAYBE a quarter to a half of the ones invited, show up... however,  the ones that decline,  will also most likely buy off ur registry and send it to u. So it's a win win..
To some it sounds selfish... to me... well since I'm a very INTROVERTED person and don't like people crowds that much at all,  if I accept a shower to be thrown, then it better be worth it...otherwise, I'll buy ask my own stuff. .
Luckily for me,  my registry was bought 100% 3 times over. .. I need NOTHING. .I got everything...

agreed 100% all the gifts help out so much even if its a pack of wipes or diapers it saves u money. Luckily my baby is 7 weeks and i have not had to buy diapers or wipes yet and i still have different size boxes of diapers and 1 box of the diapers im currently using left. But i have not yet spent a penny on any baby items. I was lucky enough to recieve alot of gofts and especially the big stuff the swing bouncer play pin car seat stroller. Just invite ALL the people u knw
