I met this lady about 8 months ago. I have a 1 year old daughter, hers is 10 months. We get along great and so do the hubbys. Except for one thing. SHE COPIES EVERYTHING I DO, or competes against me! If my kid has a toy hers likes she buys it immediately, she got the same diaper bag back pack as me and wears it the same way, if I mention buying something for my little one she will go buy it first (most recently a fan for the stroller bc were going on vacation to Mexico and its going to be HOT! But it's not necessary here) and makes sure I know she bought it. If I say I'm doing pictures at a park, she says good idea and shows up with a better camera, she even took a picture of my hair style to get her hair cut just like mine. Oh and every time we get together she will AWAYS bring up her wedding ring, which I don't really care about: it's pretty but we both have great rings! Recently we had my daughters birthday and she stole my colors so I had to change it and keep it a secret. She keeps pushing her daughter to walk and if she does anything before my daughter she will say I can't believe she did something etc. Ie : at one point her kid had 8 teeth and mine had 6, she'd always mention how she couldn't believe her kid passed mine up. My daughter talks a lot, she gets mad bc hers doesn't. She is very verbal about wanting her daughter to walk before mine! It sounds stupid, I know but it's really starting to drive me nuts! I've tried to be nice about it and let it roll off my shoulders, I have another kid so I get they all progress differently and I'm fine with that but she's on a whole other level. It's sad bc when she's not competing or copying she is really sweet and so is her family but I'm about over it. What would you do?
