Omg baby girl is 8 months and fighting sleep like crazy lately! She is teething and I think as of today may have an ear infection, but it's been an ongoing thing for some time now. She thrashes from side to side over and over and will pull herself up rubbing her eyes and fall over tired but do everything to prevent falling asleep until I finally figure out how to rock her to sleep for good. Then she'll wake up 2-3 times a night-sometimes an hour in between! Omg! It's a nightmare! It's so frustrating and I feel like a horrible mom because after about an hour I lose patience and feel like punching a wall. At this point I start wondering wth is wrong with her and by the time she falls asleep I'm so tired I get nothing done and have no time to relax and pass out! I looked up common reasons for babies fighting sleep and they say lack of schedule or routine so I've been trying a solid nightly routine, starting with dinner then fun time (maybe bath) then rocking her to sleep playing music with a bottle. Sometimes it works and sometimes she pops right back up. Of course I also give her baby Tylenol when I suspect pain. Sometimes we can't put her down at all to do anything if she's in a clingy mood. When my son was a baby he would go to sleep when I layed him down-help!!!!
