Need advice 😁

Last cycle was my fourth clomid I got a positive opk on CD23 my doctor said if I don't start AF by CD 35 to start provera because I did not ovulate. So I started provera and on day 7 I started AF... Does that mean I did ovulate just late and didn't need provera? Has anyone experienced this before?
