Am I bad mother because I have two kids but my son who's four wants to live with his father, we aren't together & im currently engaged and just had a baby with my fiancé. Should I let my four year old get what he wants or no?

Coming from a split up family myself, don't make the mistake of letting your child make those kinds of decisions for themselves. My sister and I moved back and fourth between our mom and dad's all the time. I wish they would have just thought about what was best for us and decided for us. I don't think you're a bad mom because of that. Not at all.

My little boy wanted to be with his dad when he was four too. No don't let him chose just ask dad about maybe spending some extra time with him. You should also plan some dates with your son too.

The grass is always greener and this applies to 4yr olds as well. Does he only make the comment when things aren't going his way or when he is missing his dad? Neither are good enough reasons to send him to live elsewhere.

My parents were Seperated. I begged and cried and threw hissy fits for yeeeeears to go live with my dad. It's not that you're a bad mom, it's that he does live with you so he has no chance to miss you. Personally I wouldn't allow it but I don't know the father. If you believe the quality of your child's life would be better with his father, then by all means.

A four year old is not qualified to make such a hefty decision. It's our job as parents to make those decisions for them, with their best interests at heart. The fact that you said "let him get his way" makes me think maybe you don't think this is the best choice for him, but you don't want to upset him?
