If you can fight for our country you deserve to drink a damn beer. I think it should be lowered to 18. Or the age to be drafted should be raised to 21.

If the government can't take taxes out of my cheque, allow me to enlist, charge me as an adult then at 18 I at least deserve a stawberitta!

Personally I think it should be 18. You're an adult, make your own choices. I mean yeah drinking that young probably isn't the best but that's not really anyone's concern but the person doing the drinking.

18yo. If you can go to war, you can drink.

I had to write an essay on this in my college english class... I wrote that for beer & wine it should be lowered to 19 but not 18 because that puts alcohol in the high school demographic & most of all 19 years olds are in the college age demographic & leave hard liquor at 21

Haha....ha....^^' I think its bad all together in most cases honestly....:-/ even people who are allowed to drink and are considered a responsible adult do things they shouldn't when being under the influence. XD Say what you will, but I won't mind a person drinking as long as it doesn't impair their ability to function and doesn't throw up on me. O.O' (Not a pleasant thing....at all.)

I don't think there should be a drinking age. The only reason it's a big deal to be able to drink is BECAUSE there's a drinking age. Let the parents and/or the individual decide when they should drink. I for one, would have had no interest in drinking if I hadn't been "allowed" to drink it at a young age. Of course regulations should remain constant in regards to drinking and using a motorized vehicle, but having a legal age is ridiculous.

Only in America can you fight for out country, blow people up, watch others die and put your life at risk and not have a drink. To be honest I think it should be 18. Every other country but the US has either no drinking age or 16-18.

Personally I don't understand the drinking age being 21, car rental age is 25, and you can go to war at 18. If your brain isn't developed enough to rent a car or have alcohol at 18 years old why on earth is it okay for you to make the decision to go to war and put your life at risk? That's what always bothered me.
