How long would you wait to go in with contractions?

38+5 weeks, 2cm and 50% effaced as of Tuesday. I've lost my mucus plug, bloody show and all that. I've been having irregular contractions for weeks, but usually nothing more than 10-15min apart and stops after an hour. Now I've been having contractions 3-5min apart for the last 30min, waiting to see if they stop, hubby is freaking out, but I also don't want to wait till its too late. At what point would you go in??
