Nappies leaking?

My son is a week old and his nappies seem to keep leaking, i change him often and they aren't always heavy but they seem to leak out the side, could it be the make of nappies or could the nappie be too big, its first size nappies and they are pampers, anyone else's nappies leak?

I had trouble with pampers with my first so I switched to Tesco loves baby nappies and they're brilliant

I find pampers really bad for leaking!! I use mamia from aldi, I've also heard buggies are good

Do you make sure him penis is pointed down? My little guys kept leaking until I got good about ensuring it was pointed down

Might just be a bad brand for how your baby is built. That's the correct size for his size, so it must be a leg fit thing. Try a different brand.

Are you tucking his penis down?  If not, he can pee out the diaper.

Is he in newborns or size 1? Also how much does he weigh?

Every baby is different with different brands of diapers. Try a different brand. Some people swear by Pampers. Some swear by huggies. Some swear by luvs. And other generic brands..

I've used them all and have never had any issues with any brand. However I buy luvs. Cheap and work well. I also cloth diaper.

I'd try a different brand. It may just be that they aren't a good fit for your baby.

Also, make sure when you put them on that the leg ruffles are pulled out, not tucked in.
