Organic with wic

I don't have wic but im pro organic I don't understand why wic wouldn't allow you to buy organic for your baby. Why don't they just give you a budget and let you buy healthy at least. I dont qualify for wic but ide gladly pay for the poor to eat organic out of my tax money no questions asked!
