18 and engaged?

My boyfriend who's is 18 and I 16 always talk about getting married. He is leaving to the Air Force this summer and we want to stay together, is getting married when I'm 18 okay?? Could it work out please share your stories. Thank you in advance :)

I am 18 and engaged to my fiance who's also in the military, he's in the army. We were planning on getting married this summer but decided to move it to next summer after I'm done with nursing school. But we would be getting married sooner if it weren't for school. The distance is not easy. Just make sure you two communicate as much as you can. And believe me, the distance will make you two stronger. When you're away from each other, that's when you realize you need each other the most. Love does not have an age limit! If you too feel you want to start the rest of your lives together sooner, then I say go for it!

I think it's fine, I've been engaged to my fiancé for almost a yr now and we've been together since we were 16. But I do caution you, distance does funny things to relationships. Make sure you really communicate well. Communication is big in long distance relationships. Take it one day at a time and work on the troubles that come up don't just sweep them under the rug. think before you do it. marriage is a big decision, and a beautiful one as well. my boyfriend is in the army and it's hard but we make it work. just be prepared for things as far as him being deployed or away for long periods of time. if y'all's love for each other and the bond is strong, it will work. being married at 18 is common in places, but don't think about other people. think about your life and what works for you. if you think that you're ready to take on this new chapter of life, I say go for it.
