We started TTC last night. I am in my fertile window. Last night was the first time we had unprotected sex.
Is it safe for me to have some alcohol tonight? Not much, just a small taste. My mom is making some slush with brandy in it for our family celebration tonight. Can I have some, or would that put my future children at risk?
I don't know if it's safe or not because there's no way an egg has implanted yet, right?

It depends on when you exactly ovulated. Then the egg has to get fertilized and implant. I would say you're fine until you get a positive pregnancy test. However I have heard of those TTC stop drinking to help but I don't know the science of that.

Awesome, thanks again! I don't drink much (twice in the last year) and I don't plan to drink for a while after today, but then it turned into curiosity, and I had to know the science behind it :) it's because that's when stuff reaches them through the placenta, right?
