Question!!!

Ok ladies i know that this may be funny. But I've have two kids, and with both of my boy's, i didn't find out that i was pregnant until 2 in a half months. I was very young and didn't pay alot of attention to my cycles. So my question is, wasn't it a possibility that i was still having a menstrual cycle the reason it took 2 in half months to find out my period was late?
