Irregular since Mirena removal in 2014
I have no kids and I have never been pregnant. I was very regular prior to Mirena, never had an issue with irregular cycles. I just turned 28 and have been married for seven years, we would like to have a child in the next year. I had my Mirena removed in November 2014. I had Mirena the full 5 years and did not have a period the whole time on it. My period has been incredibly irregular since removal. The first year after Mirena removal my periods were roughly every two months and would last 9 days. This year, I've had two 30 day periods in the last six months. My doctor has checked my thyroid, did a complete blood count, and an ultrasound. Everything has turned out completely normal! My doctor is telling me to take birth control to regulate my period but I absolutely hate it and never want to be on it again. Anyone going through something similar? Or experience the same with Mirena?
