How do I tell my parents I'm pregnant?!

So I'm abt 6 weeks preggo and haven't told my family and have no idea how I will tell them since my dad is strict and overprotective Mexican dad. I am 29 and he still treats me like I'm 18. When my sister told him she was pregnant he was so angry he didn want nothing to do with me, my sister or the baby. Now he has to grandsons he's obsessed with and loves to death, but I just don't know how he will take it. I know he will be disappointed Cz I'm not married but my bf is supporting us and we want to get married. Any advice will help.

Being Mexican your man is the one that needs to do the talking if your dads that old school. "Si no me da la cara ahora cuando la va a poner Por ti" type deal. And give him a wedding date and what his plans are. honestly if he's already had it happen I don't think he'll be as hard on you as your sister. (Fellow Mexican here too). Best of luck 💚

I come from a Mexican family too my mom had 10 kids well 11 only 9 live right now it's not easy but now as a mother I have 4 pregnant with another and I tell my mom joking around that if her mom would get mad every time she ended up pregnant lol sometimes u have to give them a taste of their own medicine and yes Hispanics are very over protective but he can't stay mad forever my dad is awesome he's the best dad in the world my mom is the one with the attitute. As long as your happy believe me they will support you even dumb decisions that we do as parents. Good luck....and I haven't told mine either lol not til I'm ready. I'm 6 weeks 5 days today. Definitely wait until your second trimester!!! It's to make sure little one will make it and you will or should start to be showing by then!!!!! Just sit them down with the dad and simply talk to him like you would anything else!!! Hope this helps!!

I know what your going through, also have the traditional mexican parents. We told my dad a week ago, we were both so nervous especially because I'm 18 and he's 21 and he also hadn't met him yet so it's kind of difficult to just tell them you're pregnant with someone they don't even know yet. Once we told him it felt like a huge weight of our shoulder. We just told him our future plans amd he felt better. Its hard, but once you do it you'll feel a lot better, trust me. Good luck 💕
