In my family you always here about staying in the house for 6 full weeks postpartum. I did with my first but with my 2nd (he is 11 days old) u have been out of the house since he turned a week old. I went to the mall and to eat with my BF, to grandmas house and my sister & brothers. Does anyone adhere to this 6 week rule anymore ? My cousin looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if her kids wanted to go swimming because I am babysitting my nephew and don't want him sitting in the house. I feel great and am no longer bleeding. I just can't see myself sitting in the house that long with no human interaction except for doctors appts.
