Makena injections? 💉

Question

I start the Makena injections tomorrow to try to prevent another premature birth. I'm nervous.

Has anyone had them before? Are they painful?  Side effects bad? Did it help?

I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be! It burned a little while being injected, but it wasn't too bad. It's a little more painful now, actually.

I've been on mine for 3 weeks so far. They are pretty painless.  I get a little tender in the injection spot the next day but that's it!

Second shot not nearly as painful after, the nurse used a smaller needle. But I can't stop vomiting. Ugh. The nausea is so intense. Anyone else?!

I just got my first injection it really isn't too bad although it does feel like peanut butter being injected into your butt and it makes you cheek twitch and def sore but way worth it

I start mine tomorrow I was told by some of my friends that they can make your butt sore or wherever the injection is given especially when given cold. But didn't really say much on any other side effects
