Schedule? What schedule?

I'm 8 days postpartum and can't seem to get on any semblance of a schedule. My little girl is so irregular about when she wants food, which makes it hard to truly feed in 3 hour increments. Is it normal to not be in a routine by now?

My baby boy is almost 4 months and we are just getting on a schedule. When you have a newborn you feed on demand. Sleep... Yeah good luck, no schedule for a while.

Definitely need more time then 8 days to find a routine. My fourth child was born on June 27th and we haven't even tried to find a routine.

My mom helped us get her on a schedule. It is not perfect or rigid. Basically she gets a diaper change, eats, stays up for an hour, diaper change, nap for 2-3 and repeat....
