Anyone here work in the dental field? What are your thoughts on dental X-rays?

Hi all, I work in the dental field working with children and I know we tell parents who are concerned that the amount of radiation the child is exposed to in a dental X-ray is about the same amount as you would be exposed to on an airplane. However they are at most exposed to dental X-rays 1-2 times a year while I can take up to 15-20 sets of X-rays a day. My workplace doesn't provide us with a lead apron but when I take X-rays I always make sure that I'm standing outside of the room or a good meter away. But I still can't help but feel concerned. Does anyone here have similar experiences? What are your thoughts? Did you have a healthy (physically/mentally sound) baby? Thanks!
