Problems at work
So at 6 weeks when I started getting morning sickness I told a colleague who is In charge of sick days and holidays so he would understand. I then told 2 of my closer work colleagues as I lift heavy boxes so they would help me when they were too heavy without complaining that I was slacking off.
By the end of week 8 I didn't want to be at work as I felt so ill and didn't want to panick if I had to run to the toilet. So I told my colleague who is in charge of holidays to tell my directors and my boss of my department which in total was 4. I didn't want my morning sickness to get in the way of my work but i had more days off than expected.
When the receptionist isn't at her desk I answer the phone for her. So this morning my work got a call which I answered and so happened to be the receptionists husband. He then congratulated me. Once the phone call had finished I went to the toilet to cry. I'm so fuming and upset that my colleagues think it's okay to tell other colleagues even though it's confidential business and I will tell the rest when I'm ready! I can't believe how disrespectful people can be. I also found out the accountant knows too now. And a director was talking to me openly about it when there was a new girl in front who could clearly work out what he was on about.
Only some of my partner and my family members know and I think it's really unfair how they all know before I'm ready to tell the world!
My company has 38 emplyees and now 11 people know that I know of! Pissed off isn't even the word!
