New to opk's - positive or negative?

opk's - positive or negative?" /> I'm on CD 39 and I know I'm not pregnant. I'm waiting for AF to show, and bought Clinical Guard ovulation and pregnancy tests for when my next cycle starts. Obviously, I went ahead and tested both out figuring that the hcg test would be negative (which it was) and that the opk would be too, but it doesn't seem to be. It looks pretty dark to me but I'm wondering if the line would need to be dark AND thick in order to actually be positive. What do you all think?? Or is it just normal to surge right before your period?

For a positive ovulation test the line needs to be as dark as the test lline (to me this looks a bit lighter than the test line but it is still quite dark, I would try taking another one tomorrow and comapare them)

You might ovulate late in your cycle? I'm not sure though

I had this same exact thing happen the other day. I think it's negative only bc I took a Clear Blue digital to make sure, and that was negative.  My test looked EXACTLY like yours, dark but not thick. But, I would say you're close then. Because the next morning,  I got a positive on my digital one. Good luck!!!
