Ugh... The breastfeeding saga continues. My daughter can only seem to latch to my right breast, so i had a system going of feeding on the right breast and supplementing with pumped milk from the left. Today when I was pumping both breasts i noticed blood in my right milk initially. I threw it away and when I kept going the blood seemed to be gone. A couple hours later after a feeding session when she pulled off i noticed my nipple was torn. It looked like a small piece of the skin had been sliced and you could see flesh below. I've put mupirocin ointment and a pad over it, but what the hell do I do now? Can I still pump this breast? I'm so frustrated and feel like I am going to completely lose the ability to breast feed.
