I am so sorry.

I am sorry for the ignorance, stubborn denial and racism you've faced on this forum.

I am sorry for the violence your community has felt this week, and for far too long.

I am sorry that when white people are executed on video the news stations don't show the footage out of respect, but you've had to watch your brothers die over and over and over.

I am sorry that people are throwing "all lives matter" in your face but failing to recognize that Philando, Alton, Mike, Sandra, Eric, Tamir and so many other were lives, too. Their movement should complement yours, not marginalize it out of hate.

You are beautiful, strong people. I respect you. I see you, I hear you. You are important. You matter.
