Better late than never

So my baby is now 10 and a half weeks. But being a new ftm I haven't had a change to sit and share my story. So I had been 1 cm for nearly a month then I was 2 at my final apt at 40.5wees. I asked her to strip my membrane because I didn't want to be induced when I hit 41 (which is what her office does). That was a Wednesday, a few days go by nothing. I'm walking nearly 2 miles during the evenings, bouncing on the ball, drinking teas. Finally I wake up Saturday morning and I feel like I'm on my period, I'm sick and go use the restroom cuz of my stomachache. I take off to meet my dad at a biotechnology symposium and my boyfriend leaves to spend the day with his siblings. I get home at about 12 and I'm feeling just a tad off so I keep bouncing on that ball and at this point I start losing chunks of my mucus plug. Close to 6pm I'm sitting on the couch now and I'm like oh shit was that just a contraction?? And I wait and about 6 minutes later another one came! I downloaded an app and started tracking them and went to lay in my bad cuz no one was home. I called my boyfriend and asked if he was on his way home and told him I was probably in labor, and before I could hang up my mom was calling me (we were oddly very mentally connected the whole pregnancy) and asked me if I was in labor, I told her maybe as I was battling more contractions and laughed. 10 minutes later my boyfriend and mom come rushing in and I said I'm taking a shower first! I point at the bags to go in the car and ask them to pack the car up and then my mom asked how far apart they were, typically between 3-5minutes. She freaks and everyone is rushing me out of the house. I get dressed and go to the car and we follow my parents because the freeway to the hospital was closed! 45minutes later now close to 7:30? I go to check in I said I'm having contractions and they took me back and hooked me up. They lady stood up and said YEP YOU'RE STAYING! 6CM! I was like wtf?:o so I get to the other room and get back in the water cuz it was helping I got out because it was just getting too much. So by 8:30ish I was at 8cm and my mom and bf convinced me to get an epidural I really didn't want:( so a while later they come in and the contractions are coming nearly every minute and they have me sit on the side of the bed and as I'm leaning forward during the contraction I feel her head! I told them stop I can't sit like this she's pushing out NOW! but they Dr wouldn't stop 😢😠. So after that the nurse checks me I'm at 10+1! It's roughly 9:15pm and since the contractions are calm down the kept me waiting till 1:30am when they called my dr. Between all this time I asked many times to turn down the epidural because it was too strong and I didn't want to not feel anything, but they wouldn't. When they Dr arrived at 1:40they turned off the epidural. I started pushing at about 1:47? And 2 contractions and 6 1/2pushes later out came my beautiful baby girl at 1:52am 4/24/16 she was 8.9lbs and 22in long❤
