Breastfeeding and formula?

So my little girl is a month old now and nursing just hasn't worked out for us but I still wanted her to get the nutrients in the breast milk so I was trying to exclusively pump. I wasn't able to keep up when her first growth spurt hit. So I gave her the honest brand organic formula. Is it okay for me to still keep giving her breast milk a couple times a day also or will it upset her tummy to have both?

I breastfeed each feeding and then offer an ounce of Similac supplement formula for nursing moms after every feeding if babe still acts hungry. If he seems hungry before about three hours, I offer the  breast again (to try to up my milk supply) and then offer him the formula as needed. So he's about 75% breastfed, 25% formula. Sometimes for the first feeding of the night I'll do a formula only feeding (2-3 ounces with a slow flow size zero nipple to emulate BFing) to get a longer sleep, but that just means I have to pump still when he's taking the formula bottle.

I also do both.  My son won't latch so I've been pumping.  I've been doing both since he was born pretty much and he's 6 weeks now. With my first child I had a low supply and started supplementing with formula when I stopped the breastmilk and just used formula she actually started having a harder time digesting so I think the boob milk does help them digest the formula and if you can then definitely do both.

I was exclusively expressing and feeding my baby breast milk. He had an appointment yesterday and isn't growing fast enough so they want me to add formula to the breast milk. So doing both is fine. Breast milk is gentle on most babies tummies.  ☺

I do both and his tummy is just fine! I usually do about 5 pumped bottles and 3 formula.
