Is it too needy to put my registry on fb??

So both my husband and I have a lot of family whom live out of state and won't be able to attend our baby shower, but would do if they lived closer by. I don't expect anyone to buy me anything regardless of if they attend our shower or not but I thought maybe I could put our registry on fb just in case anyone wants to gift is something.'idk if it looks needy!

It sounds kinda tacky.  I would send shower invites to them with the registry information instead.  Seems less like you are asking for presents

My family been asking me to post my registry on Facebook and I refuse lol I just don't feel right doing it ... I only did registry after being ask by out of town family and the perk of getting 20$ gift card plus other freebies ... I say go with how you feel

Yes it's needy and tacky. Sorry 😕 you could send e-invites to the baby shower with the registry info on them that way it's a subtle way of letting them know if they'd like to buy you something. Posting it on social
media is just too much in my opinion.

Seems a little needy to me. Why not send them an invite with the info anyway, or tell them about your registry if they ask? I'm not having a shower and only mentioning my registry to anyone if they ask. I find the concept of a registry somewhat tacky in and of itself and have one primarily to keep myself organized and benefit from the perks.

I did e-invitations through Facebook event page and posted the link so people can have a look or just have it mailed if they prefer. Or individually you could tell them if theyll like to get something for you that youll leave them the link and could be mailed at your house.

I just posted we are registered at amazon for those who have asked. Simple and wasn't being needing just easier then replying to every message or even if no one asked they can still see what you may need

Maybe host a virtual baby shower for those who live far, my MIL is having one for me, we did invites over fb with a little shower picture invite.

Yea do something private. I have this girl of my Facebook and all the time posted "Baby """" needs this" ugh so annoying. Kept posting like if she was requesting it. 😒😒

Regardless of if it seems needy or not, they will either buy something or won't. We live in a virtual world, hardly anyone does cards by mail anymore. I did two face book groups for our baby shower, one was for people we didn't expect to buy anything so we posted on the event please no gifts. I made a Facebook group for people I thought might want to buy something and just put the registry information in the about the event at the bottom. I made it subtle.. I did not share it on my wall.

If I might offer my opinion on this: Do it! Hope else will people who want to bless you and your little one know what to get you, without sending individual letters out to everyone? One of my guests for my shower told me to do it early and often to ensure we got what we really needed and wanted.
