Implantation

So here is my thing we have been ttc for three months now. For that last three cycles I have had mid cycle spotting. I have never had this before only since we have been ttc. My question is couple it be an egg trying to implant and stopping. I'm really hoping the spotting I had this last cycle is ib and that I'll get my bfp and not my period. Has anyone else ever experienced this.
