Need some insight !

AF is due in four days & today I experienced some cramping, it was super mild, not really painful just a little strange & then I noticed I had some light brown discharge. Has anyone experienced this ? I know it's not AF cause it's always extremely heavy & my cramps are always horrible but I hope it's not early signs of it:(
