Premature labour?

Went for a growth scan yesterday at 33+5 and was shown how low the head was in my pelvis, I was told that it's unusual for the head to be so low when I'm only 33 weeks. My braxton hicks and backache are starting to get worse as well, could this mean I could go into premature labour or is it normal for them to get worse at this stage in pregnancy?

My son is really low in my pelvis and was head down at my last ultrasound, has pretty much been forever, and they didnt act alarmed about it. I wouldnt worry too much, they come when they want to.

My little ones been low since 28weeks, now nearly 33weeks been admitted in to hospital last week just to be monitored keep an eye on the pain call your midwife if your worried

When they checked you did they say anything about dialation or did they do a swab for a preterm labor test?

I got told it was completely normal by my ob. Braxton hicks is killing me in the pain department but at my 33 week visit my doctor did a physical exam and scared the living hell out of me when she went oh there's her head down there.

Afterwards she told me I was just effaced and had no dilation it's completely fine and normal apparently. As long as you're not dilated, no blood or any other joyous symptoms of labor/risks (like your water breaks) you should be perfectly fine to carry full term. Ask your doctor just to be sure though.

My daughters head is really low. I'm dilated and soft and I've been to the hospital twice for contractions. I still haven't gone into real labor and I'm 34 weeks. My dr said my contractions are preterm contractions meaning I could go into labor soon but they're monitoring my progress. Good luck!

I'm an ultrasound tech and it's not that unusual. I saw one that was like that at 31 weeks and he was induced at 42 weeks
