How soon did you travel after giving birth?

How soon after you had your baby were you cleared to travel? 
My husband is living in Tennessee because he's in the military & I am currently living in Texas. We plan to have me & the baby move with him once shs is born, but I wanna know how soon is okay to travel with a newborn.

We flew on a plane at 1month I think. Or month and a half. She just slept the whole time in my arms lol

What about before 2 weeks? We went on a 4 hour drive at 1 week pp then 4 hours back so 8 hours in one day and only 8days pp.

I'd probably wait until your 6 week pp check that way you don't have to worry about looking for a new Dr right away for your check up and try to get in, and even with military it can still take awhile to get in for the appointment. Also this way your Dr already knows your pregnancy and delivery so you won't have to work out all the history and whatnot.
