Infected belly button piercing - pussy lump
Hey ladies, sorry if the pic is a little icky to look at.
For the past few days my belly button piercing has been irritating me and been sore. I have had it for 8 months. Just today while l was cleaning it with a Q-tip, I noticed this lump on the inside portion, around the hole.
Now I will admit, I haven't been the most adamant about my cleaning regime. I also realize that this is some sort of abscess and most likely a sign of infection. I have read elsewhere online my best options are to clean with sea salt soaks and I also bought a saline solution spray. Apparently it isn't wise to remove it without a healthcare providers urging, as the abscess can spread into the hole.
Anyway, I know it's probably infected and my best option right now is to cleanse or seek medical help.
My question is, has anyone else experience this? What did you do to get rid of the infection? And tips or tricks?
