What do I do if his dick smells?

I have no problem with playing with him and getting a little freaky (just hand things, I'm still a virgin) but I like to tell him I want to go down on him but I'm just apprehensive about it being bad or have me smell after. He's uncircumcised but I wasn't really bothered by it. Whenever I start rubbing on him and I put my hand in his pants or if he pulls it out I just smell a strong almost fishy odor and after I'm done I have to shove my hand in the seat or cushion because it smells. He says he washes it and I'm not worried about that part. I'm just wondering how he doesn't try and mask the sent with anything else like rub a little deodorant on it or something. I've never told him that he actually smells really bad. But Idk what to do about it. I don't want to hurt his feelings I just want to find a way for it to stop if there's something I can do or if it's something he should really pay attention to besides washing himself just to say he did and not doing anything else to help with the odor. ANYTHING will help when it comes to advice on what to do.
