Why can't we have the best of both? There are people who feel a gender and that's very important to them and there are people who don't feel any gender, also very important to them. I don't understand why it has to be one or the other.

It's not that it should be genderless by force because that would be no better than forcing gender roles. It should be that all people should feel free to identify as whatever they feel is right, even if that is non-binary. And they should be able to do this without judgment or hatred.

We're not trying to make it genderless just gender neutral BY DEFAULT. Not permanently. Get people to accept each other as individuals instead of expecting something based on their sex.
