So I'm debating on taking my nipple piercings out & letting them close up because I want to breastfeed. I would obviously take them out every time I fed my baby but I feel like it would be easier to let them close. What do you think? Feel free to comment!

I had only my left one done & took it out as soon as my son was born. It closed up & 9 months later when i couldn't breastfeed anymore I got them redone. That was 2.5 years ago now, my son is 3 and I'm going to try to keep mine & take them out to feed my daughter/put them back in after a feed. If it's too painful or difficult etc I will just take them out and leave them out. I love my piercings and I don't think I could get my left one done a third time if I let them close over.

I took mine out but my holes never fully closed so now I'm going to have a sprinkler system lol. Talk to your doctor about it honestly. I went with the safe side..... Good luck :)

I had to take both of mine out very early in my first pregnancy as my boobs (& nipples) just grew way too quick and I went from a 10C to a 16F so the my boobs would quickly have outgrown my nipples.
When my son was born I had terrible mastitis in both breasts and couldn't breast feed at all. I'd always wondered if the mastitis had anything to do with having had them pierced previously.
My advice is take them out. If you really miss them & want them done again you can always have them repeirced later.

I'm debating the same thing..I just got mine pierced last Sept so I've barely made it a little passed the 6 month mark of trying to not get them infected. I'm due in Nov and didn't know if I wanted to take them out completely or only when I breastfed. Another issue I'm having is with my son I was only able to breastfeed him for the first 3 months. So I don't know if I'll go longer or shorter with this one.
