Come across as too feminine for a boy?

I love the name Valentine, it is historically a male name, but can be unisex. We're considering it for a boy, but I'm a little concerned it's more recognized as a girl's name now. How would you perceive meeting a boy with this name? Thank you!

Why not Valentino? You can call him Val or Tino for sure.

I think I would find it more of a feminine name personally .... My Mom's friend loved this name also but went with Valor instead because it has a similar sound but is more of a masculine name... He's 25 now and everyone compliments his name!

In France Valentine is a girl name but Valentin is a boy name. So maybe you can try the french spelling.

Have you seen the movie tremors?? I think Kevin Bacons name is Valentine and they called him Val.

I love it. Valentine is my paternal family last name. Valentine is just fine but i once knew a boy named Valentino if that will help it seem more masculine to you.

At first I thought it said Vaseline 😂 I'll just blame pregnancy vision 😏😂 
I like it but I think wayyyy too many people would say Val-en-tyne instead of Val-en-teen. I like Valentino though. Try to talk hubby into somehow.

My dads best buddy's name is Valentine and he's a manly man. I always associated the name with being male :)
