Confused 😟. Please Advise

I'm 4dp5dt. I had blood work today but when they called with the results they only told me what my estrogen and progesterone levels were and that they were "good".  The next labs are on Friday and the sheet given to me by the clinic only says "Hormone Check".  Then after that the sheet says "pregnancy test" on 7/21/16.  If that test is positive a second test will be done. Is this the way it's normally done?  When do they do the first hcg test?  Should that have been done today?  Can you share your experience during this part of the process?  I guess my worry is that they did an hcg test but the result was bad and they didn't tell me. Now that I've written that, I sound a little paranoid to myself🙄.
