Severe pain during ovulation??

Im just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. Bit of background.. ttc #2. #1 was unplanned so still learning.

Anyway.. i suddenly got hit with severe vaginal and rectal pain and i mean i gave birth drug free and holy cow this was a close comparison. I waddled to get painkillers which was hell. If felt like someone had a knife.. stabbed me and started twisting it around my insides. It still really hurts.. i got back to the couch and haven't attempted to get up.. is this because of ovulation? It has happened before but only once.
