My baby grunting and making all kinds of noise when sleeping. Is your?

My LO is grunting, sucking air in so it sounds like he can't breath, giggling and making all kinds of noises whilr he sleeps that have me on high alert.  Nothing ever seems to be wrong, but it freaks me out and I have trouble sleeping because I am listening on high alert! What is going on? What causes this?  Anyone else have this experience?

My baby is the grunt queen! She started sleep-crying recently and last night started the sleep laughing... So weird! Her eyes will be half open so I can't figure out when she's asleep sometimes 😂

Yup. Grunt, whimper, squealing, random and extremely short bouts of crying, weird noises in between......

I've learned to just ignore it. At first I'd pick her up for any noise at all, but I realized I just kept waking her and it was making her cranky, so I just let her sleep  until she visibly wakes up.c

Having the same exact thing here. Even sounds like she's choking sometimes and I immediately jump out of bed. Doctor says it's all completely normal and babies can be noisy sleepers. My baby is 1 month old now and doctor says it could be time to put her in her own room where the noises won't bother me as much :)

It's just your baby dreaming and sleeping. I know it is hard to relax but just breath and try and get some sleep.

Same here and I know it's normal. I remember it well from my 8 nieces and nephews and my human development/early childhood degree. Still, now that it's my baby; I can't sleep and every notice she makes has me awake. I have a fear of her spitting up/throwing up in her sleep so each sound I'm always checking her.

My son is the loudest sleeper! I can never fully sleep in the little time he is asleep because I'm in high alert with his noises.

My little girl started sleeping in her own room at two weeks old because she was so loud while she slept and it kept me up all night!

My son loves to grunt, he also does it awake while trying to poop lol. In his sleep though he also makes choking and gagging sounds. We co sleep so he is right there with me to check on though.
