Moving out of state fory hubby
I have two daughters, 4 & 14. The oldest one I have sole custody and the youngest one I have agreed to split 50/50 legal and physical. Her father is great with her but his MIL is raising our daughter, he works long hours and isnt home for breakfast or bed times. His new wife cant have kids so this one is the only chance they'll have. I have an amazing job opportunity out of state but I dont think her father will agree to me taking her. Im responsible for ensuring the health, safety and overall well-being of both my daughters. My oldest has the opportunity to attend the highest ranked school in the state as well as so many very good opportunities to better her life and give her a better start. If I stay where I am pretty soon I will have a very dire situation where its not conducive to learning or growth and potentially puts me In the corner to where my abilities to parent successfully are diminished significantly. I spoke with an attorney this morning who cautioned me that because the father exercises his rights, even if he isnt there with her, that I probably wont win. Although I appreciate his honesty on this, it was very discouraging. I want to put both my kids first, I feel like I wont be able to do that in this situation. Any help ladies?
