Extended period 🙄

I'm 17 and I decided to go on birth control because I felt that I should be in more control of my sex life, I kept asking my mom but she would always say yes but never take me. Soon the 7th of this month I went on birth control but my period had started The 4th and a week before that I had a mini period and a week before that I was on my normal cycle. For some reason I am on my 9th day of menstrating and I'm really tired of this bs. I was put on Mirena and I am just so exhausted please someone tell me what's going on with my body please!!!!
