Car seat ???

Question

I have a toddler now and when she was born I got the car seat with the carrier now she outgrew it and I need to buy another car seat. I am due with baby number 2 in February and I'm wondering should I just get the ALL IN ONE seat without the carrier or the carrier and change later!????

How about getting a big seat for your older one and then the baby use her baby seat? BTW for your older one, get one with a 5 point harness weight limit of 65 pounds or more. My son outgrew the seat I was told would last 'forever' by age 4, the standard weight limit is 40 pounds and even though he's skinny he reached it before age 4. Legally he can go to a booster but it's not considered safe for their spinal development, so i recently had to replace his seat again. I got the Graco 65

I skipped the infant seat and used a convertible from birth. I don't regret it at all and will be doing the same for our second child. Personally I think infant seats are a waste of money.

If I have another girl I plan to reuse but the car seat is pink so if I have a boy I think I'm screwed.!!

It seams like most say the carrier so I think that's what I will do

We moved my toddler out of the infant seat at 14 months. She would still fit, but I felt it was time. We moved her to a convertible (Graco Milestone, step down from the Forever).

I will reuse the infant seat with the new baby. It was so much easier and the convenience factor was great for the 1st 6 months. Being able to take baby out of the car without disrupting her sleep, or a quick trip into a store, etc.

I am getting the carrier and changin later . I even called the fire house and they say there's a reason why they make infant seats . I have a infant seat , booster and an toddler car seat in my car .
