I need advice.

So, my boyfriend and his friends had a bit of a falling out months ago and every so often he goes out of his way to talk to a "friend" of his that was once his best friend. Now, nothing happened between these two but since the group of friends kind of dropped my boyfriend, he did too. So like I said, he goes out of his way to text him and talk to him but I never see it coming from his friend first. And now, my boyfriend is trying to make plans with him when over 8 months has gone by and not once has the friend tried making plans with him. My boyfriend has tried multiple times and it never goes through be use the other guy is always "busy". So again, today, he is trying to make plans with him. Am I wrong for being upset? Like, my boyfriend is the nicest guy and the most sensitive as well so I don't like seeing him going out of his way just to be hurt. I don't even know if all this made sense. Lol ahhhh I just don't know if I'm in the wrong or not for being upset that my boyfriend keeps going out of his way for someone who gives nothing back.
