Should i go all out for her 1st bday? I've gotten mixed answers!

I'm not going all out as in a big party, but I am going to have all our close family and a big, fun day planned. I don't want to go overboard, buying too much stuff, for something that he won't remember, but I do want to make it a very special day since it's his first birthday. 😊🎉

My daughter will be 1 in November and im already planning everything out. I know she won't remember much of it but I am going to make it amazing because it's the 1st of many! Now, my mom said that the 1st birthday, the 13th birthday, the 16th birthday, and the 18th birthday are the most important ones.
