When do they start checking?

I have an appointment on Thursday, Ill be 34 weeks with my second child. I dont remember with the first but when do they start checking to see if your dilated or effaced?

I don't remember being checked until maybe 39 weeks lat time(??). We got to the hospital well into labor, so they didn't check me there, it was clear when it was time to push!

Some doctors don't do it till last minute. I be 35 weeks Thursday I feel like I'm dilated but he won't check. I think he will check next appointment. That is July 26th , I told him how much pressure I was having and sharp pains I was having in my vaginal he said baby just getting ready for birth

I get checked at 37 weeks but get induced at 38 so I'll see if he can check tomorrow at my group b strep test.I'm 35 weeks now.

I can't remember with my first and with this one we just recently moved. It took me forever to switch doctors (the first one denied me because they said I was too far in my pregnancy 😑) so I haven't seen the doctor since I was 30 weeks. I go in next week so I'll be 37 weeks and I'm pretty sure they start checking then.

My doctor won't check until I hit 40 weeks. Unless something is off of course. They don't want to do any unnecessary exams.

My doctor will start at 39 weeks but you have to request it if you want it done early and the earliest they will do it is 36 weeks.

With my first pregnancy they never checked me I went into labor at 39 weeks. This pregnancy they checked me at 36 weeks.
