Masturbation effect on period

I notice when I am spotting and I masturbate I stop spotting and have to wait about 3 days before I have my period. Also, when I am in the middle of my cycle and masturbate (to orgasm)it works the opposite. I have a really heavy period. Does this happen to anyone else? Why does this happen?? It makes my period late, so on Glow should I say I had sex, or is that only to document that you used protection or could possibly get pregnant?
