No it's not too young. Promise rings I feel are for serious couples in high school that are too young to get engaged. It's a step forward, but not too far forward for their age and maturity (for a majority. I've known some very mature 16 year olds)

I think yes. It is still a big commitment. At 16 you are still so young and so much can change in just a few short years! I wouldn't have done it and think it's too young for most anyone.

I find promise rings a little unnecessary but that's just my preference but no 16 is perfectly fine! It's not like you're actually engaged, it's just making a promise that they (probably) will marry you some day 😊
