Am I the only one???

I have seen a lot of post lately about moms not wanting visitors the day of, or at the hospital period. Don't get me wrong, I totally get why and I think it's a personal choice for mom and dad to make and be respected. However, I had so many people at my first birth and I am having even more the second time around. I'm being induced on Thursday and I have 4 people from out of town coming on top of my hubs and a photographer. They are hanging out for at least a week after as well. Now I will only have 4 of the 6 in the room, but after reading all these post I'm beginning to think maybe I'm a bit of exibitionist 😂😂😂!!! My hubs and I are the more the merrier types, and all of our friends and family are completely respectful and would take no offense if we said get out lol. We have ground rules, they know them, and when it comes to the actual birth it's more like me and the hubs moment with a bunch of people hanging out in the background l. Anyone else having a crowd for birth or after?

Also, I lost my Mom and Gma recently so I know I will be missing them. Has anyone else dealt with a similar loss? How did you deal with it during birth and afterword? These women are my role models so I am already trying to cope with them not being there.

Introvert vs. Extrovert

People make me tired, lose my filter and lash out from the anxiety of having to be upbeat. It takes quiet, peace and low energy for me to feel calm and refreshed. Just depends on how your brain is wired and what makes you feel the strongest.

Go for it ! I'm stressing out about there being to many people around after the birth as my hubby will be home for 4 weeks mum would be at mine for 2-4 weeks sister will be about his mum wants to come down every day an visitors too I'm scared i won't bond or feel comfy enough to breast feed. 
I lost my Aunt who was like a mum to me and my husbands gran within 6 weeks around 6 months pregnant. It's going to be really hard but our babies will help us through it. I'm so sorry for you loss it won't be easy but think of ways to honour them maybe X

I have to have a c-section so my fiancé will be the only one in with us because of the hospitals rule. In the waiting area will be our children, my mother, my 2 brothers and my sister in law. After that group we will open it up to more extended family! Family on my side is VERY close and will be visiting at the hospital. His side is more the "I'll see the baby when you get home or at the next family function" type!

Lost my grandmother yesterday. I was very close to her. I am close to all my family even the members I'm not close with! 😂 what I mean is I love all of my family and respect all of them and I just so happen to be lucky enough to not be related to people I for one reason or another don't want near my newborn. So literally anybody is welcome to meet her while I am in the hospital. They don't over stay or overwhelm, and they aren't gross. Me and my husband are big family people are are very merry people as well and I look forward to a bunch of visitors to sign my daughters signature dog. I still have mine for when I was born and love seeing all the people who took the time to meet me when I was first born! And I'm glad my daughter too wil have a dog to look back in.

That being said not everybody has family
And friends like we do so I understand wanting restrictions!!

Ok I kinda feel the same way! My first was emergency c section at 32 weeks and she was in the NICU for 3 weeks. We could barely have visitors.. This time I want a totally different experience and definitely open to visitors!

My family and in laws were there for the first birth, they were in and out of my room the whole time and I didn't mind only because I had an epidural so I wasn't in pain and I was bored so it helped the time go by. Nurses kicked them out during pushing and then they came back in after the crime scene was cleaned up. It didn't bother me even though I am more of a private person.  But I can see why others wouldn't want it especially if they don't have an epidural or they have annoying family members, mine are mostly appropriate.
